Who we are

LoopStamp (loopstamp.com) is a social platform for golfers to log rounds, track courses played, and share golf activity with people they choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, username, and a password (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we cannot read it).

Profile information you choose to add: a profile photo, bio, home course, GHIN number, and the golf equipment you list. All of these are optional.

Golf activity you log: rounds (course, date, score), optional round stats (such as birdies or longest drive), notes, photos, and the playing partners you tag. You decide the visibility of every round when you post it.

Technical basics: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept for security and reliability. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Push notifications (mobile app): if you use the LoopStamp app and allow notifications, we store an anonymous device token so we can send the alerts you opt into. You control which categories notify you in Settings, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings or in your phone’s system settings.

Sign-in providers: if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only your name and email address from that provider to create or match your account. We never receive your password, and we do not post anything or access your contacts.

How we use it

To run LoopStamp: showing your rounds and passport to the audiences you choose, computing your stats and achievements, sending the emails you trigger (verification, password resets, round-tag invitations), keeping the service secure, and improving how it works. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

Your visibility controls

Every round is posted as Public, Connections-only, or Only-me, and that choice is enforced everywhere a round can appear. You can additionally blur or hide the dates others see on your rounds, and hide your home course from your profile. Your passport page (courses played, badges, totals) is visible at your profile link; round details on it still follow each round’s own visibility setting.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers that make LoopStamp run: Vercel (hosting and photo storage), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery), Apple (push notification delivery to the app), and the sign-in providers you choose to use (Google, Apple). They process data on our behalf to provide the service. When you search for a course, the search text (never your identity) may be sent to our course-data provider to find matches. We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.

Device integrations (such as Garmin)

If we offer connections to devices or services such as Garmin, they will always be opt-in: nothing is connected unless you explicitly authorize it, we will only receive the golf activity data needed to create your rounds, and you can disconnect at any time, which stops all further syncing.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual rounds yourself at any time. You can permanently delete your entire account and its data yourself, right in the app or on the web, under Settings → Delete account — this is immediate and irreversible. If you’d prefer, you can also email support@loopstamp.com from your account email and we will remove it within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal or security reasons.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access credentials for our infrastructure are stored as managed secrets. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

Children

LoopStamp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and note the change in the product. Questions or requests: support@loopstamp.com.
